Write a Letter to a Monster (drop-in)

Monday 23rd October and Thursday 26th October
Drop in between 11.30am – 4.30pm
£10 donation per letter

Write a letter to one of our lonely Monsters and receive a unique, personalised reply to your home/lair/cavern. Suitable for the young or young at heart. Mini monsters must be accompanied by an adult and will receive a free pencil and sticker to take home.

This is a drop-in session. No booking is required.

 Aliens, Zombies + Monsters: Commission a personal Monster Caricature

Friday 27th October
11am - 5pm
Cost dependent on ticket purchased. Booking required. Limited spaces available.

Bring out the true monster in you with a unique, personalised Monster Caricature, sketched live by artist and author Aaron Blecha.

Please allow up to 20-minutes for the in-store session. Suitable from ages 5+. Mini monsters must be accompanied by an adult.

  • £20 for an individual
  • £30 for a couple / two people
  • £50 for a family (4-5 people)

Slots must be pre-booked, with donation size to match the portrait you are seeking. Limited spaces available. Prior to your visit, you will be sent a short set of questions, so we can ensure to capture your true essence. Please ensure you arrive 15-minutes before your session.

We unfortunately cannot issue a refund if you are late or miss your slot as we are expecting all slots to sell out.

Aliens, Zombies + Monsters: Halloween Character Drawing Workshops (x 3)

Saturday 28th October
Sessions at 10am, 12-noon and 2pm
£4.50 + booking fee per ticket

Booking required. Limited spaces available.

Join our family-friendly Halloween character drawing workshop with Human artist and author, Aaron Blecha. This event is suitable for beings aged 8+. Mini monsters must be accompanied by an adult. Each workshop will take around 1-hour.

We will provide all the drawing materials needed. There will be some time at the end of the workshop for you to carry on your drawing, or to use our colouring worksheets, before the next session.

Delivery information

We currently deliver to UK destinations only, via 2nd class Royal Mail or Parcel Force 48 Hours service.

Postage and packing costs:

  • - £3.50 for orders of up to £25,
  • - £7 for orders £25 - £50
  • - Free for any order over £50

This charge helps cover our costs and ensures your purchases support writing workshops for young people at the Ministry of Stories.

Our team of zombie volunteers aims to fulfil orders twice a week and on the outside you can expect delivery within 12 working days of order confirmation, but usually sooner. Unless something truly hideous happens, in which case delays of several centuries are not unlikely.

Returns information

You can return products if:

- You decide within seven days the product isn’t for you. You’ll receive a full refund, including delivery charge, processed within 30 days of return of the unwanted goods. Please send this with the original returns form supplied with your order, emailing us at shop@ministryofstories.org to let us know it is on the way. Please look after the product when you have it! Do not burn it, eat it, sit on it, drown it, or in any way cause it harm. We might need to ask for compensation otherwise.

- You don’t agree to a change in our terms and conditions or other policies, or you think the product is faulty. You will need to return the product with its original returns form. We’ll check the product upon receipt and email you regarding your refund. We’ll process it as soon as monstrously possible – definitely within 30 days of us emailing to confirm a refund. You’ll receive the full price of the product and delivery, plus any costs for sending it to us.
